It’s not what you would expect to see in a “sporting goods” store. As a matter of fact, we don’t know of a single athletics store that carries such a lovely selection of dancewear and dance shoes; but remember, this is W. L. Donehower!

We fit ballet, tap, jazz, character, and pointe shoes.
Appointments are recommended for fitting pointe shoes.  It can be time consuming to get the correct fit.

For dancers of every age. Major brands represented are Capezio and Bloch in the shoes and a variety of brands in body wear and accessories, including Danskin, Capezio, Major Motion, Harmonie,  and more. 

Come into our specialized dance department, stand at the authentic ballet barre in front of the full size mirrors, and  enjoy the individualized attention of our staff. Whether the need is for classic dance merchandise or items for the theater, we can help. And if you need special costuming for performances, we can help you there, too. We are happy to special-order anything for you from our sizable list of vendors.
